Aging Skin - What Can Be Done
Monday, February 25th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedAs people grow older it’s only natural to notice the aging process providing more wrinkles on our face and other parts of our bodies. In the years to come as the baby boom generation notices signs of aging skin they will spend millions of dollars on anti aging skin products in order to look a few years younger.
Although the manufactures of treatments for wrinkles and anti ageing skin care products lick their financial chops, their are things we can do to without having to rely on Boot or anti ageing skin creams.
supplements and vitamins
Taking daily vitamins or a multi-vitamin helps protect cells against aging and is fast becoming a daily occurrence for a majority of baby boomers. As many foods become more over processed these supplements for treating aging skin and wrinkles contain a broad spectrum of nutrients to balance out diet deficiencies
Staying in Shape
Working out on a regular basis and avoiding becoming overweight is one of the best anti aging skin treatments for aging skin. The better shape that you are in, the tighter your skin is, thus the less wrinkles you have. Working out to the point of sweating a lot helps the body rid itself of toxins that contribute to wrinkles.
Avoid over exposure to the Sun
Avoid the sun’s exposure for long periods of time. If this is not possible use the best sunscreens, wearing a hat and long sleeves can greatly reduce the number of wrinkles that you get.
Quit Cigarettes and Alcohol
These are the worst bad habits you can have if you really trying to look younger than your years. Both cigarettes and alcohol have an aging effect on skin; they strip the body of moisturizing nutrients that help prevent the development of wrinkles.
Relieve Pressure and Stress
Almost all the experts agree the best vitamin to prevent skin aging is a big smile. When you are smiling, you are using far fewer muscles than when you are frowning. Try and not worry about things that you cannot control. Think of the glass being half full instead of half empty. When internal pressure is increased, so is the aging process.
Getting Good Night’s Sleep
Getting a good night’s sleep allows your body to re-charge itself while using a very small amount of energy reducing the effects of premature aging. The less energy your body uses, the slower it ages. An afternoon nap on your lunchtime at work will reduce stress levels and also slow down the aging skin process. The more you sleep the younger you feel.
Obviously the best remedy for premature ageing skin is something that can be controlled by you, as once said by a famous author, ‘by the time you reach 50, you deserve the face you get’. Look after it.
