The Aging Process - Nutritional Habits

A critical part slowing the aging process and aging healthy is the kind of lifestyle you lead and how we treat our bodies. Getting this right can make a significant difference to the aging process. However the sooner you start good nutritional habits and looking after yourself physically and nutritionally the more youth and vitality you will have as you age.

The aging process and eventually old age affects every person, but there are ways that any person can manipulate the aging process.  Every year people age, but studies provide information on slowing or reversing this inevitable process.

Many people enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail and drinking in moderation should not be a problem for those worried about the aging process.  While red wine is nice,  red grape juice is better medicine. The bad news about red wine being good for you, and although is, after more than one glass the alcohol content negates the benefits.

Many people do not get enough rest and maybe they will be able to overcome some of their bad habits if they are rested.  A good sleep every night will help people slow or reverse the aging process.  People should try to get at least eight hours of sleep every night.

Habits To Slow the Aging Process

Diet - A healthy, nutritious diet can make people feel and look younger and promote healthy aging.  Certainly avoid fatty foods and include whole grains, fruits, vegetables and oily fish like tuna and salmon. When shopping for fruit and vegetables, shop by color, intensity is the key, e.g. dark leaf greens.

supplements - As many of our foods today are lacking in vitamins and minerals its a great idea to take some vitamin supplements just in case they do not get all of the important nutrients on a daily basis. Antiaging supplements to concentrate on are, Vitamin C, E, A, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Co enzyme q10 and grape seed extract.

Exercise - is important to slow or reverse the aging process.  You should try to exercise for thirty minutes at least three or four days a week. Walking is fine, go briskly though.  Other exercise  such as weight training or yoga for resistance exercise is also advisable.

Stress - can take a toll on the human psyche and the physical well being of each person.  Work to eliminate stress from your life.  Eliminating stress should produce a positive outlook on life which will mean a better quality of life and help reverse the ageing process.

Much of slowing the aging process is easy and enjoyable once you have the habit. A habit takes about 21 days to embed itself, Give the above a try, but don’t expect results overnight.
